Vintage Watches is the second edition from Éditions de la Tour, the Paris house that creates playing cards inspired by watchmaking. After Steel Watches, devoted to steel sports watches, this 52-card deck celebrates vintage watches: 52 timepieces hand-picked by James Lamdin, founder of the New York vintage watch dealer Analog:Shift, for the stories they tell as much as for their lines.

52 cards, 52 watches, no repeats

From the two of clubs to the king of spades, every card carries its own watch. On the number cards it appears as a technical blueprint; on the jacks, queens and kings it blends into the traditional court figures, in full colour. The designs reveal themselves hand after hand.

A proper poker deck

The poker-size cards (63 × 88 mm) are printed on 310 gsm linen-textured "black core" stock. The black core keeps every card opaque and durable. The deck suits every classic 52-card game: poker, rummy, blackjack and more.

A collector's piece, ready to give

The burgundy "alligator"-textured tuck box features an embossed, varnished logo. Each copy slips into a "reptile"-textured paper envelope finished with gold hot-foil stamping: a gift for a watch lover that needs no wrapping.

Is it a limited edition?
No. Vintage Watches is the first Éditions de la Tour deck to join the permanent collection, unlike Steel Watches, which was limited to 1,000 copies.

Can you actually play with it?
Yes: it is a standard 52-card poker-size deck, made to be handled.

Is the deck linked to a watch brand?
No. The illustrations are original designs inspired by watchmaking; Éditions de la Tour is an independent house with no affiliation to any watch manufacture or brand.
